The Bridge Youth Service is a free youth service which provides support to young people between the age of 12-25 around housing, family reconciliation, pregnancy and parenting, education support, drug and alcohol support, advocacy and mentoring. The Bridge Youth Service is a LGTBIQA+, ATSI and CALD inclusive support service.
Housing assistance : Case management support to young people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless to find and maintain safe, secure and affordable housing.
Family relationships : Case management support to young people and their families/carers to create and maintain healthy relationships, remain in the home, and increase the positive wellbeing of the young person.
Step Up! : A group program that assists young people and their parent/carer to address disrespectful behaviour in the home, school and community. Over 8 sessions, participants are supported to develop their skills to respectfully resolve conflict and maintain relationships through focussing on topics such as communication, flexible decision making and accountability.
Young, pregnant and parenting program : Case management support for young parents. Group program run weekly for young parents in Shepparton, Seymour and Wallan. Group program for young pregnant women run weekly. Antenatal care and education provided by midwife (Shepparton only).
Options and pregnancy decisions counselling for young women. The counselling is non-judgemental and non-directive to make an informed decision around pregnancy with support provided.
Free condoms and lubrication to promote safe sexual practices.
School and education : Case management support for young people who are at risk of disengaging from education/training. Young people are supported to reduce barriers to further education and re-engage.
Drug and alcohol support : Case management support for young people experiencing substance misuse issues including harm minimisation.
Mentoring : Young people with carefully selected mentors who provide guidance as well as a supportive and positive relationship.
Service Hours : 9am-5pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
