A carer is someone who voluntarily cares for a person who is frail aged, has a permanent disability or mental illness.
Carer Support Services assists informal carers through the provision of information, education, support and flexible short term respite options.
The Carer Support Services program operates throughout the West Hume region comprising the City of Greater Shepparton and the Shires of Moira, Strathbogie, Mitchell & Murrindindi.
The service essentially aims to support carers through the provision of short-term respite, information and support. Programs include Support for Carers Program, Hospital to Home, DHHS Disability and Employed Carers Program.
Carer Support Services are a registered NDIS provider of Support Coordination.
